  4. Can residential panels be connected to commercial posts?

Answer: YES and NO

First, Residential Posts are available in 2″ x 2″ and 2.5″ x 2.5″ sizes and have been structurally tested for all residential fence panel and gate scenarios; therefore, there is no need to purchase larger 3″ x 3″ or 4″ x 4″ posts for Residential Fence Panels or Residential Gates.

Furthermore, we do not factory route 3×3 or 4×4 line, corner, end or “T” posts for residential fence panel horizontal rail insertion.

Solution:

Order 3×3 / 4×4 Blank (non-routed) Posts + Residential Mounts. With this work-around, you will “mount” all of your residential fence panels (vs. inserting them) to the larger posts using our Straight, Horizontal and Vertical mounts.

2. USING MOUNTS + BLANK POSTS METHOD

Blank Posts have no routing but they can be used with straight, horizontal and vertical mounts. No mounts are required when using our routed posts and the “insert and set” method provides an easy, do-it-yourself installation method. Install yourself and Save Money!
Straight Mount
Straight Mounts can be used to mount fence panels to each post. Most often used for stair stepping; also used to connect residential fence panels to 3×3 / 4×4 Blank Posts. Mounts are also used to connect fence panels to an existing structure (house, building, wall, column or wood post.)
