This product is made of 3 main pieces:  1)  the u-piece which is welded on the gate of your choosing; 2) the bushing and 3) the J-bolt and plate.

These hinges are not spring loaded.  If you need spring loaded hinges for a large / wide gate, order the Industrial version of our self closing hinge.

The bushing welded to the gate frame and then bolt mounted to a 4" x 4" post, wall building or structure.  Therefore, you cannot purchase this without also purchasing a gate.

Recommended for all "column mounted" (structure like wall, building, house or column in lieu of a gate post) single gates over 6' wide and double gates over 12' wide

Made of aluminum extrusions, mylar hinge blocks and j-bolts, this hinge is the perfect accessory for mounting a gate to a structure like a house, column, building or wall.

You will need to order 1 pair (qty. 1) of these hinges for large single swing gates and 2 pairs (qty. 2) for driveway double gates and estate gates. 1 pair of these hinges for single swing gates take up approximately 4 inches of spacing of your gate opening width. 2 pairs of these hinges (for double swing and estate gates) take up approximately 8 inches of spacing of your gate opening width.

After your order is processed, a detailed, itemized order confirmation will be generated and emailed to you. Your order will then be put "in line" for fabrication, packaging and shipment. All fence and gate orders ship in approximately 2 weeks. Signature Hand Railing orders ship in approximately 3 weeks.  Peak summer season may require a few extra days. Welded Plated posts might require a few extra days.  National holidays are not included in lead times. Smaller accessory item / orders ship faster depending on the item(s). Powdercoat painted items like mounts, HD hinges, post ball caps usually ship in around a week or less.  Non-painted accessories: gate locks, hinges (except for HD Hinges), lokkbolt, solar lights...etc. usually ship in 3 - 5 days.

We go above and beyond when packaging your order!  All fence and gate orders are boxed, shrink wrapped and palletized. For home owners, depending on the size of the order...you can easily take the boxes directly off of the truck without a fork lift. Larger orders to businesses have the option to use a fork lift. You or a representative (over 18 years old) must be at the shipping destination address on the day of delivery to sign for your shipment.  Although rare, should you see any visible damage to any of your boxes, accept the order, notate any damage on the receipt and then call the number on your packing slip. We will expedite replacements to you and we will file a claim internally with the carrier.
